“Today we were once again up and at it very early. Sun is all it glory was blazing hot, even at 7am.
Today we headed to the west of the city in Gu Bei and Hong Qiao for more concrete madness. Before getting crazy though, we all started with some coffee and donuts, a real champions breakfast.
Once bellies were full, the guys began their mission to destroy Shanghai’s burning pavement.
The heat this summer is so intense that it drains you of all your energy so quickly. Even with constant drinking from he water well, the heat gets to you. Some of us got burnt to a crisp and others got sun stroke. Dan pushed himself so hard that after finally getting a trick he uncontrollably vomited. I knew it was possible, but had never seen anyone vomit because of physical exhaustion. Gotta hand it to P Dan, after vomiting he took a quick rest then went and filmed a better line.
Tired and worn out, not to mention kicked out of out last spot for the morning, we filled our tummies on pho noodles and spring rolls. About now the boys are all resting and contemplating a night session. If not tonight they are already dreaming about tomorrow.
